Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Sacramento. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in California are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Matcha Cafe Maiko has become a monthly tradition for us. They rotate their soft serve flavours each month, so we always check ahead - if the flavour isnβt our thing, classic green tea never lets us down. A soft serve isnβt easy to find, but Maiko nails it. If youβre a soft serve lover, this place is a must.

The service is quick, took 5-10min to get my drink after a couple of people with bigger orders! The staff was really nice and helpful! They recommended a drink for my wife and it was good! Will come back again! The Yuzu Frappe was a win!!

Maiko special with matcha-vanilla swirl: very good! We could taste matcha flavor in the soft serve. The vanilla swirl gave a bit of sweetness to the ice cream. The crunchy corn flakes were perfect. The adzuki beans at the bottom were perfectly paired with matcha flavor. They gave a lot of jelly pieces but I only got 1 piece of chestnut and 2 pieces of mochi balls.

This is the place to go to to get your matcha fix. From the soft serve to the lattes to the waffles. You can't go wrong. My favorite is the plain matcha tea, matcha and just water. The matcha is so clean and flavorful that it stands out just on its own.

I had their soft serve cone, vanilla/matcha swirl. I like that the ice cream itself wasnβt that sweet, I feel like it had a great balance. The matcha itself can be strong, a little bitter but with the vanilla, it helps balance out the flavors. Spent around $17 for 3 cones. It smells really good when you first walk through the door like theyβre baking something. Next time I have to try their other seasonal flavor. Customer service was great, I highly recommend this place.

Great macha items . They have excellent ice cream and variety of drinks. One special was whit chocolate macha drink, strawberry macha- both great! They have frappes, floats, sparklers and cheese foam! The only problem I had was there was not an option to make some drinks less sweet. I ordered the macha latte, I was able to control the sweetness level, I got 50% sweet and it was great. The ice cream was a good serving size and delicious!

Very glad we stopped in, this was the best matcha soft serve I have had. This chain originates out of Hawaii and is a definite place I would recommend. I went back in and ordered two more for my loved ones. The service was fantastic, friendly and helpful.
